Programming Analyst


The Programming Analyst is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of programming analytic supporting applications for FAIR Health data products and analytic projects. This role requires the coding, testing, and implementation of desktop and web-based software, while also maintaining and adhering to the methodology and quality standards set by FAIR Health. This position will work on a variety of development and analytic projects within the organization. It will be expected that this person would be an individual interested in exposure to and learning of multiple technologies. The ideal candidate is one that is highly motivated and willing to tackle both remedial and complex tasks with enthusiasm.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Able to gather business requirements from individual users and work with senior level developers to implement them
  • Maintain and modify existing applications
  • Assist in the discovery and investigation of production issues as required
  • Write “clean”, well designed code
  • Participate in development initiatives that support ad hoc analytics projects
  • Contribute to multiple concurrent projects with numerous stakeholders


  • 5+ years of experience with SQL or PL/SQL
  • 5+ years of software development experience with C# within the .NET framework
  • Experience using 3rd party JavaScript frameworks such as: jQuery, Angular, React, Bootstrap, etc.
  • Experience with Python, PHP, or Node.js
  • Knowledge of relational databases; Oracle experience is a plus
  • Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
  • Experience with Healthcare data is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and personable
  • Understanding of the use of version control tools (SVN) and of developing web services
